A Cornice or Coving is a profiled moulding used to conceal the joint between a wall and a ceiling so that it does not have to be finished and any cracking along the joint is hidden.

Plaster coving helps to give a room a more elegant feel and it is important to choose the correct moulding for the period of house and ceiling height of the room.
